General Information
Yoga in an ancient holistic system uniting mind, body and spirit. The word, "yoga", translated means "union" or "yoke". By practising a series of physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation techniques students through the ages have experienced the many benefits of yoga. For some, yoga is a physical routine that creates ease in the body. Others come to yoga for mental clarity and/or to access a deeper part of themselves from within.
When you come to class please wear comfortable clothing, like a pair of tights, yoga pants, track pants or shorts, and a t-shirt. Form fitting shirts seem to work best. If you have long hair, you might want to tie it back. Yoga is practiced barefoot.
Some students like to bring a small hand towel and a bottle of water. If you have your own mat or props you are welcome to bring them. If not... we will supply them for you.
It's a good idea to wait at least 2 hours after a meal before taking a class.
