- Are you searching for ways to engage your body’s wisdom so that you can heal an injury, relationship, or spiritual wound?
- Are you yearning for change in your life – but don’t know how to find answers to the questions that are weighing on your mind and heart?
- Do you want to explore the mind-body-spirit connection with Nature in order to deepen your current practice of yoga? Meditation? Spirituality?
Then please join Erin Bentley, MA, PhD (candidate) and Dee Brooks, Certified Yoga Teacher, for this innovative and inspiring workshop that will bring together ancient traditions of yoga with shamanic healing practices!
Following a brief introduction to yogic and shamanic philosophies, Erin and Dee will guide participants through a day of breathing, movement, guided journeying, and discussion designed to:
- Explore the emotional-spiritual roots of pain;
- Awaken your connection to the body’s wisdom and our capacity for deep knowing;
- Heal body, mind, and spirit by reconnecting with Nature and the Divine;
- Transform your awareness through heart-centered intention, expansion, and connection.
Throughout the workshop, we will use yogic breath and movement to open the heart;prepare the body; and align with humility as participants learn and practice shamanic healing techniques.
Participants will be guided through creating a ‘sacred space’ in non-ordinary reality. From this sacred space, we then will journey to meet our power animals /animal totems; seek answers to empowering questions; heal relationships; andexplore the connections between physical pain and spiritual / psychic wounds that may have roots in past life experiences.
By mobilizing the intention to heal and be whole, this workshop will deepen your existing practice(s) of yoga, meditation, and spirituality; and transform your awareness of the connections between self and other, self and Spirit, self and Nature. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to hone / tailor a yoga practice around their individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
